Hi! I’m Diedre. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I am a writer, scientist, and editor. I love all things grammar-related, and I enjoy sharing my viewpoint on science with the general population.
If you’re looking for a freelance writer or technical editor, be sure to check out my services page, or contact me with specific questions.
I received my PhD from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in November 2013 from the Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology Program. I completed my thesis work in the Department of Cell Biology in the lab of Dr. Peter Espenshade. My thesis work was focused on how cells respond when they experience low levels of oxygen, and a particular cellular circuit that helps them adapt to this change in their environment.
In addition to science and writing, I’m an avid competitive cyclist and a “home chef;” my adventures in riding and cooking are detailed on my other blog, Two Hungry Cyclists.
You can also find me on Twitter and LinkedIn.
Thanks for visiting!
